What do we do?

We track investments into startups, growing businesses, hedge funds, and private equity firms. We do this by sorting, filtering and extracting critical information from the hundreds of SEC filings (called "Form Ds") filed each day.

We process SEC filings on a real-time basis. As a result, we frequently learn about new investments before newspapers and online publications.

You can search for people, company names, specific industries, or focus on regions or cities.

What are Form Ds?

Nearly all startups and investment firms file Form Ds with the SEC when they raise money. A Form D filing contains:

  • Amount of money raised
  • Equity or debt issuance
  • Industry category
  • Names of the executives and directors
  • Addresses for the company, executives, and directors
  • Other information - brokers used, commission paid
